This Isn’t Your Everyday Facial — HydraFacial

Our facial skin is always exposed to the elements. Granted, our temperate climate in Portland isn’t quite the same as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan or Maine, but it’s still important to take care of your facial skin.
At the Center for Dermatology and Laser Surgery, we offer a great treatment that your facial skin will love. It’s called the HydraFacial, and this treatment has made quite stir in the aesthetic world since its debut in late 2015.
What is HydraFacial?
The HydraFacial treatment is a four-step process that cleanses, evenly exfoliates, and extracts impurities and dead skin cells while at the same time replenishing vital nutrients including antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The treatment is delivered through a proprietary wand.
- Step 1 — Vortex-Exfoliation
We attach the first head that uses Activ-4 serum and suction to remove surface dead skin cells and open and clear pores. This uncovers the brighter, healthier skin beneath.
- Step 2 — Vortex-Peel
In step 2, through the wand we apply Glysal serum, which consists of a mixture of glycolic and salicylic acids, the ingredients used for light peels. But this peel won’t have the usual post-peel scaling.
- Step 3 — Vortex-Extraction
In step 3, the wand applies patented, painless vortex-suction that cleans out pores with the help of Beta-HD serum.
- Step 4 — Vortex-Fusion
To your thoroughly cleaned and exfoliated skin, in step 4 we apply the Antiox+ serum through the wand. This serum is the final step of the HydraFacial and replenishes your skin with antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.
HydraFacial has made such a splash in the aesthetic world because it delivers results that you can see and feel. This treatment provides vastly improved hydration, while helping to eliminate the appearance of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, oil and congestion, and even creases in the nasolabial folds.
