Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Laser skin rejuvenation is a popular treatment option for restoring aging skin to a smoother and more youthful appearance. This term includes several different noninvasive techniques used to treat wrinkles, sagging skin, brown spots, enlarged pores and more.
Different types of laser treatments are used to treat different skin conditions. Some of the most commonly used procedures include:
- Varicose Vein Treatment
- Spider Vein Treatment
- Intense Pulsed Light (Harmony® XL AFT Laser Treatment)
- Pixel Laser Resurfacing (Harmony® High Power Pixel Laser Treatment)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) (Harmony® XL AFT Laser Treatment) is an advanced, versatile system that is highly effective in improving the color and tone of the skin through simple, noninvasive procedures.
Pixel Laser Resurfacing (Harmony® High Power Pixel Laser Treatment) is a part of the Harmony® XL laser system, used for non-ablative skin resurfacing for aging, damaged or scarred skin. This treatment can be used to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the appearance pores, fill in acne scars and improve overall skin pigmentation.
Results from laser treatments are usually not immediate and can take several months to appear. Several sessions may be needed in order to reach the patient’s desired results, but laser techniques are often effective in completely eliminating age spots and other concerns.
Although safer than traditional resurfacing procedures, there are some risks associated with laser skin rejuvenation, such as unwanted lightening or darkening of the treated area or scarring. Choosing an experienced doctor can help reduce these risks.
